SMMU Pilot Project
In November 2016, EMA, national water agency PUB and SP Group launched a Call for Proposal (CFP) to develop and test-bed technical solutions to integrate remote meter reading for all utilities (i.e. electricity, town gas and water).
A completed test bed leveraging on SPPA’s existing Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) for remote reading of Water, Gas and Electricity Meter where Mirai has created its own Microprocessor Control Unit (MCU) for transmission of data over the air (OTA) with third party communication modules. The high-profile project is also co-funded by Enterprise Singapore which meets the regulatory requirement of 99.9% successful transmission of data required by IMDA.
This project were evaluated with other agencies including Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB),
Government Technology Agency (GovTech) and Housing Development Board (HDB)
